Legends on the Lake: A Culinary Gem with Scenic Views

This place was nice, quick to seat our big group. It did take a little bit for the food to come out but we did order a lot. The only thing was the waitress never came back to refill drinks. Otherwise good. The ribeye tasted good, just a little smaller than I thought it would be for the price.

Kind of limited choices really so check their online menu. Good choice of craft and other beers, plus full bar. We had wings that were good and meaty. Had a honey hot pepperoni pizza and it was very good. Since the lake is drained down the view was crappy.

I was showing property in the area and stumbled on this gem. I imagine it is packed during the summer and golf season, but great views and incredible food! I had the Flank Steak with Frites and it was spectacular! Dining room is spacious, there are several dining rooms, a bar and an area I did not have a chance to enter and see (private dining rooms?). Beautiful outdoor patio, I saw the biggest Stromboli I have ever seen being served here. I will go back for more photos and more in depth review, but what a great find!

This was a little bit of a mixed bag of an experience, but overall am… okay one. There are not many options in the area, so this is one of the more reliable ones, especially if you are part of the Rumbling Bald community. Best part? The pickle chips were the best pickle chips I have ever had in my life – and the portion was excellent. The barbecue chicken pizza was a bit of an odd experience – it was quite sweet, and loaded with cheese, that sort of separated from the pizza, but I did eat it. I was really excited for the drink, but it was an odd blend of flavors, and not something I would order again. Patrons are all over the place – some very kind and down to earth and others pretty high maintenance. But I must say the service was excellent – kind, professional, available. I will certainly give this place another try, and if you’re able to sit out on the porch and look at the water then you certainly have a wonderful view!

Just because you have a good view does not mean you can expect an incredible meal, but let me tell you, Legends on the Lake, does NOT disappoint! The food here is phenomenal, the hot wings are incredible and cooked to perfection. The pretzels were delicious and soft, the chili was a sweet chili and absolutely delightful. I had the Caesar salad with yummy salmon and the dressings are all made in house. To top it all off, Kathy our servers was absolutely FANTASTIC. I am writing this review as I sit here anticipating my dessert, I ordered the upside down pineapple cake! I'm sure it's going to be scrumptious.

Poor service, long wait times, and convince me the pizza isn’t made in a microwave! Seriously, not a great place to eat. The food wasn’t that good, and they either didn’t have enough people on staff or the service was just that poor. They also completely left off the order for one person in our party and it took them another 25 minutes to bring an order of chicken tenders.

Atmosphere was decent…the service was very VERY slow and overall not good. Took about 15 minutes for the waiter to order our drinks. The roasted Brussel sprouts were good. The chimmichuri quesadilla was okay, but I didn’t like how it was soggy. The cookie skillet was very tiny and took forever to come out.

Legends on the Lake absolutely lives up to its name! The view alone is worth the visit—breathtaking lake and mountain scenery that makes the perfect backdrop for a great meal. But the real star of the show? The "Veggie Supreme Pizza" Just look at that beauty! Generously topped with fresh mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, spinach, and more—all on a perfectly crisp and flavorful crust that’s seasoned to perfection. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and you could tell everything was made with care and quality ingredients. The fries were also a great side, and the service was friendly and relaxed—just what you want when you're enjoying a peaceful lakeside meal. Highly recommend stopping by if you're anywhere near the area. This place is a gem!
